Finishing 2022 with such an incredible result has made the Winter feel even longer than normal! It's safe to say after the trials of last year, we have all been itching to get back on track and continue where we left off!
That doesn't mean to say we've all been sat around twiddling our thumbs counting down the days for the season. Now we have a good baseline, the car has been refined further, and with some regulation changes, we have made a few minor adjustments, which should only add to the performance improvement we say at the final round of the 2022 season at Snetterton.
Alongside the car refinement, we have also been busy behind the scenes on the commercial side of things, making sure we can keep racing and plan to complete the full season in what promises to be the most competitive BRSCC Mazda Mx5 Supercup championship ever, and without doubt, the most competitive championship in the country.
This season I am joined by 3 new sponsors to help me along my journey, with Lex-Tools, EdsonGFX & The Beaded Seat Company joining alongside Melliard Motorsport, EPTA Projects and our Title Sponsors for this Season Airbourne Graphics and Signs, without their increased and continued involvement, this season definitely would not be possible!
Before the season got underway, we completed our pre-season shakedown / test at Silverstone, something that is now becoming a bit of a pre-season tradition. This year though was on the Grand Prix circuit for 2 reasons, the most obvious reason being the fact the circuit is the first round of the season, but the 2nd reason is purely because I love the circuit. Having working at Silverstone in the past, it's always felt like my true home circuit and it's safe to say we had a very enjoyable and productive day, with a good direction as to where we need to focus on for the upcoming round.
As for the race weekend itself, the weekend starts for the team on Friday with the pre-event test day before going straight into Qualifying on Saturday morning at 11:15, followed by the tradition format of 1 race on the Saturday afternoon at 15:30, with Races 2 & 3 occurring on Sunday at 10:10 & 13:10.
All of the action will be live throughout the weekend via TSL for live timing and YouTube for all the races, and to follow, all you have to do is click the links below...
Its been a while since I've said this, but I'll see you on the other side
