After the last round at Pembrey, thoughts turned straight to Cadwell Park, round 3 of the BRSCC championship (round 2 for me though).
Straight the way there was a massive road block, as some numpty (me) forgot to book testing on the Friday before the Cadwell race weekend, instantly making the weekend a backs against the wall job.
Fortunately for me I have many friends with racing winning experience, so I have been fortunate enough to pick the brains of some top class British drivers about the do's and don'ts on Cadwell Park, with the common theme being that this weekend will be one to thoroughly enjoy!
Cadwell is known throughout British motorsport as being Englands "Mini-Nurburgring" with massive elevation changes, woodland sections and one massive jump, combined with the circuit being extremely narrow and very little run off area, it is bound to be the biggest challenge I will face all year round.
The elevation changes are combined with long straights and fast and flowing corners, with a few huge braking zones whilst travelling down hill, ideal for the new Avon tyres to show their strength under braking, and hopefully opening up a few overtaking opportunities throughout the lap.
The weekend for me will start on Friday like everyone else, I will be there on the test day but mainly as a frustrated spectator, aiming to learn as much as possible over the day to bring into the rest of the weekend
Following on from Friday, I will be participating in an additional 30 minute practice session provided by the BRSCC to help get me up to speed, with the session starting at 9:00am with Qualifying and Race 1 following on Saturday and the remaining 2 races on Sunday.
Timetable for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday:
Practice: 09:00 - 09:30
Qualifying: 10:30 - 11:20
Race 1A: 16:00 - 16:20
Sunday:
Race 2A: 10:20 - 10:40
Race 3A: 15:35 - 15:55

Hopefully you will see the Tucker Motorsport, Ice Driver, High Row Marketing & EPTA sponsored MX-5 running towards the front of the field again this weekend, and lets hope the weather stays in our favour ;)
