Round 2 Donington Park Preview: I mentioned 2019 once and I think I got away with it...

Bit of a surprise for everyone in the paddock really, but this weekend instead of visiting northern Wales due to restrictions still in place, we have been moved to a track a little closer to home! Instead of travelling 3 hours, it will be a mere 12 minute commute to my home circuit, Donington Park for round 2 to the BRSCC Mazda Mx-5 championship.

After round 1 of the championship I am lying in 5th place overall out of 49 that have so far competed in the series, and it looks as though Donington could be even more competitive, with Mazda races to get our teeth stuck into this time and a massive grid of 43 cars confirmed so far, it looks to be a very exciting weekend, and Donington always throws up a few surprises!

2020 got off to a flying start with two 4th places and a fastest lap at Cadwell Park

The past 2 visits to Donington Park with the Mazda Championship have been a complete roller coaster, however with the car performing incredibly well it looks set to be another strong weekend, and with the potential of rain throughout the weekend, any results are possible!

As for the event itself, this year we are very lucky to be supporting the BARC Truck racing championship, as well as the Pick-ups, Legends and the Mx-5 Supercup and many more making it a weekend full of on track action.

See you on the other side
