How did it get around to the last round of the season already?
The year has been full of ups and downs, and with me now having had 2 wasted rounds the championship position tends to suggest its been a year of poor results. However, this year has easily been the strongest year in the Mx-5's so far, just with 5 races of misfortune, the overall position was never going to be flattering.
After the fascicle round at Donington with some made up rules thrown into the mix, there has been a much needed 6 week break before Silverstone.
The round at Silverstone will be on the International circuit this year, with last years event being a very wet weekend on the National circuit, it seems this weekend will be another very wet weekend with the aftermath of Hurricane Lorenzo heading our way.
Silverstone itself has always been a bit of a home from home for me, having worked there on the Silverstone Driving Experience events since 2013, I have become very familiar with the surroundings.
The circuit itself has not changed at all since the last time I raced on it in 2016, however, with the freshly laid tarmac for the F1 this year being very different to before, I go into the weekend a little in the dark as to how the car will perform at the fast flowing circuit.
